Media has long controlled the narrative surrounding current events and crises. When the media stops talking about it so do we, yet real people continue to hurt long after the last headline. Our hope is that through the power of conversation, providing methods of action, and refusing to allow the current news cycle to dictate the extent of our conversation our collective voices will make a meaningful impact in the lives of people we may never know.
